First, a confession: I’m not a wedding photographer–I am an artist…and a photographer who occasionally documents weddings, as well as graduations and other special events. I have a keen eye for composition and design, and a knack for capturing meaningful moments in a quiet, unobtrusive way.
My approach: Be Here Now.
This day only comes once, so be present for it. Enjoy being in the moment! Pictures should be fun–not an added source of stress. I value authenticity over perfection. I’m not going to just recreate the latest trend from Pinterest–your photos should be as unique as you! My goal is to capture meaningful, impactful, visually striking images that you will treasure for years to come.
I’ve been a photographer for over 20 years. My favorite subjects to photograph are landscapes, birds, and my kids. I figure if I can capture a Blackburnian Warbler zipping through the trees, or a hyperactive 7-year old, I can photograph pretty much anything!
I believe in being prepared for disaster, and having backups for everything. I typically carry 2 Nikon mirrorless cameras, each with dual SD cards, just in case one memory card fails. I also have a 3rd camera as a backup. After your event, I will store the digital image files on multiple hard drives (2 in my home studio, 2 on cloud-based locations). I also carry photographer’s insurance just in case.

All packages include editing/retouching and an online photo gallery. Events requiring travel outside of the Western New York Area may incur an additional charge. “Ivory-billed” Package $4000 $3200
What's black and white and all but extinct? Film! Actually, analog photography is alive and well. Although it’s hard to beat the convenience of digital, some of us value the warmth, the authenticity, and the timeless quality of photos made on film. I’ve been shooting and developing my own film for 20 years, and, not to toot my own horn, but I’m pretty darn good at it. I can shoot black-and-white or color film, or combination of the two. I can document your entire wedding on film, or we can put together a “hybrid” package combining some analog photos and some digital.
